Procrastination

Procrastination -To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.  Everyone procrastinates at some point in their life.  I find that most people procrasinate doing homework, cleaning, or in general doing something that you don't want to do.  If people didn't procrastinate then everyone would get so much done.  Once you start procrastinating, it's hard to stop.  You get so used to saying, "Oh, ill have time to do that later."  But then when later comes you either dont feel like doing it and wish you would have gotten it done earlier, or don't have enough time to do it.

I constantly find myself procrastinating.  My new years resolution was to procratinate less and get more work done.  I have been getting better because I have already done my wordly wise cards, and im doing my blog in study hall right now.  I will be thankful over the weekend when I don't have to do these two things.  Even though I would rather be doing something else in study hall right now, I know that it will pay off in the end.  I will leave some tips on how to not procrastinate at the bottom.
1.  Leave your phone somewhere else where you can't go get it while doing your homework.
2.  Give yourself 10 minute breaks after you finish an assignment, and make sure you set a timer so that 10 minutes doesn't turn into an hour.
3.  Think of how happy you will be later when you don't have to do your work later because it's already done.
4.  USE YOUR TIME WISELY

  1. Good post, Melissa, and I think those are some helpful tips. I'll add my favorite:
    5. If you use a laptop for homework, turn off the wireless when you do not need to be on the internet. That way you don't have mail notifications or the temptations of Facebook, pinterest, etc.
